We are currently contacting site investigation firms with the intention of providing a list of those who we believe provide an appropriate level of care and expertise in level monitoring. Standards will be set, probably requiring readings to be taken to the nearest 0.1mm, and a closing error on a traverse around a typical house of less than 1mm (as advocated on page 241 of Tree Root Damage to Buildings).

The list will be promoted to encourage Loss Adjusters and Engineers to undertake this essential work.
